Ready, Set, Grow! 

MUSIC

Music is a a vehicle for creative expression, communication, language exploration and movement. Music is a major part of Summer at Manitou whether children want to make their own or enjoy the sounds of others.  Children will learn new songs, write their own, perform for their peers, and even build their own instruments. 

SPANISH IMMERSION

Our Spanish immersion program is the perfect opportunity for students to learn new Spanish vocabulary and be surrounded by the Spanish language.  Through song, conversation, games and more, students will have a chance to hear, sing, speak and write using the Spanish language. 

ART

Art is an absolutely crucial component of any summer program! It's an amazing way for kids to unleash their creativity and let their imaginations run wild. Not only does it help them develop their fine motor skills, but it also boosts their confidence and self-esteem. Plus, art activities are a fantastic way for kids to work together, share ideas, and make new friends.  

PLANTING

Summer camp is the perfect opportunity to get kids excited about planting! By teaching them about the wonders of nature and the environment, we can inspire them to become responsible stewards of our planet. Through planting, children can learn about the growth process, the vital role of plants in our ecosystem, and how to care for living things.

EXPLORING NATURE

Nature is the ultimate playground for both kids and adults! Playing and learning in nature is an amazing way to boost creativity, problem-solving skills, and physical activity. And that's not all! Being surrounded by nature also helps to reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve mood, and enhance cognitive function. Plus, it's a fantastic way to develop a deep appreciation and respect for the environment, leading to a more sustainable future. Let's get out there and explore the wonders of nature!

Movement is an essential component of any summer program as it promotes physical activity and helps children develop gross motor skills. Additionally, movement-based activities can improve cognitive function and enhance social skills by encouraging teamwork and.
